Our client, a pharmaceutical and medical device commercialization company, is entering a new growth phase in Hong Kong. As a strategic hub for expansion into the Greater Bay Area and broader Asian markets, the company is strengthening its pipeline, building external partnerships, and evolving its operating model. They are now seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive new business creation, expand partnerships, and deliver value through alliances, licensing, and collaborative development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies for market entry and partner acquisition in Hong Kong, GBA, and Asia
- Manage alliances and partnerships with global pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies
- Lead negotiation and contract management for joint research, development projects, and licensing deals
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities in regenerative medicine and biotech sectors
- Formulate and implement patent portfolio commercialization strategies
- Oversee financial management, budgeting, and cost analysis for business operations
- Ensure compliance with international legal and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to organizational transformation through talent development and business model innovation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Life Sciences, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business development or strategic alliance management within the life sciences sector
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and project management skills
- Excellent communication and networking abilities, especially with stakeholders in Hong Kong, GBA, and Asia
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical and medical device regulatory frameworks
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin preferred. Japanese and Cantonese are advantageous
